Fajny, kompaktowy odtwarzacz CD, ale niedopuszczalna jakość wykonania, i zła konstrukcja szczeliny CD gdzie są ostre krawędzie po cięciu laserem i brak tam zabezpieczenia przed porysowaniem płyty CD przy wkładaniu i wyjmowaniu plyt. Pro-Ject - wstyd za kontrolę jakości, i niechlujny projekt. Oczywiście zwrot i rezygnacja z produktów tej marki.

Favoloso lettore cd essenziale. Fa quello che deve, ovvero leggere magnificamente i compact disc. Suono caldo. Adotta un dac Burr-Brown 1796 un po’ vecchiotto, ma molto musicale, che però adottano anche lettori high-end di ben altro prezzo. Display bellissimo in style vintage con caratteri molto grandi e di colore celeste che ricorda quello dei blasonati apparecchi McIntosh.Solido e compatto. Fatto bene e fatto in Europa. Sono usciti altri due modelli più recenti ma nella sostanza nulla è cambiato. Se non ti servono ingressi per chiavette e altre chincaglierie è da comprare a occhi chiusi.

Okay...gotta be honest here (don't you hate when people say that??!!)--I'm not a fan of slot-loading CD players. You almost always find them used in car CD players, computers, budget CD transports, players, etc. And I've had my share of prized CDs chewed up by slot loaders. You get what you pay for, so to speak.But at $599 these days, I don't consider the Pro-Ject CD Box DS CD player anything but a serious audiophile CD player. (Note that I also own the $13,000 Esoteric K-03 CD/SACD player, which sports probably the best drawer-loading transport ever made, so again IMHO the Pro-Ject CD Box DS is kind of a Kia compared to my reference-level Lamborghini CD player)!. After playing around with this $599 CD player for a few hours, I find that it is superbly gentle with my CDs, incredibly quiet, and--although nowhere close to my $13K Esoteric player in this regard--extremely musical right out of the box.But If you need a compact, dedicated, redbook CD player, with built-like-a-tank quality, for an unbeatable price, then look no further than the Pro-Ject CD Box DS. Please also note that I am NOT a paid reviewer for this product....I paid full price as shown on Amazon.Update 9-2-2017: either my ProJect Box Box DS CD has contracted a "virus" or this $600 compact CD-only player has a serious systemic problem. I've played at least a dozen different CDs in this player and sometimes I get flawless playback but more often I just don't. I just changed my rating from 5 stars to 3. I've started a return / replace with Amazon with the hope that I simply have a defective unit. Hopefully it's just a defective player and not symptomatic of all ProJect CD Box DS CD players! And now I'm also noticing that it doesn't eject all my CDs without a couple scratches / blemishes, which, quite frankly, is my biggest gripe with slot-loading CD players! So this very pricey slot-loader is no better than your $29 slot-loading stock computer or car CD player!!!Regards, Stereoman

The originally supplied unit which failed to play any CD all the way through was replaced as faulty by the supplier who was really helpful throughout. The replacement unit plays CDs really well, with a rich and clear sound from excellent low bass through an accurate and pleasant midband to very good and accurate treble via its coaxial output. The unit has not rejected or mistracked any commercial or home recorded CDs to date. It is small, unobtrusive, the display is clear (although you cannot turn the display off) and the slot loading mechanism is very well engineered. Like most digital devices with slot loaders the mechanism can very occasionally baulk requiring momentary disconnection from the mains power supply to clear it.It is very good value for money but be aware there are units of this model out there that cannot play CDs consistently and get your's replaced if it happens to you. I understand that the Pro-Ject and the UK importers are aware of the problem.
