Winkelwagen is nog leeg.
Winkelwagen is nog leeg.Australian survival thriller in which a group of young friends are stalked by a great white shark. Kate (Zoe Naylor), her brother Matt (Gyton Grantley) and his girlfriend Suzie (Adrienne Pickering) travel to the Great Barrier Reef to meet up with Kate's ex-boyfriend Luke (Damian Walshe-Howling). Along with his friend Warren (Kieran Darcy-Smith), Luke earns his living by delivering boats around the world, and has offered to take his three friends along for the ride on a boat he has to deliver to Indonesia. But shortly after setting off, the vessel runs into difficulties, and as the friends attempt to swim to safety they become the quarry of an enormous and extremely tenacious great white shark.

tra i tantissimi shark movie una lieta sorpresa. tensione giusta ritmo serrato e una sola vittima...una rarità per questo genere di film dove di solito si assiste a delle mezze carneficine

This is a 2010 survival suspense chiller about a group of five friends who capsize while sailing along the great barrier Reef to Indonesia. With the upturned boat likely to sink at any moment, the group are forced to decide whether to stay, or, swim the shark infested waters to an island estimated to be some 10 miles to the north. But who will go and who will stay? And what’s more, who will survive? The film is inspired by the true story of Ray Boundy, who was the sole survivor of a similar incident in 1983. The film starts in similar vein to ‘Uninhabited’ but quickly turns into a cross between ‘Adrift’ and ‘Open Water.’ which it eventually becomes more like. I wouldn’t class this as a horror movie as it is quite casually paced until the middle and the shark attacks are brief and not very graphic [in a horror sense], but it is extremely realistic [using real shark footage] and very suspenseful as you’re always awaiting the ‘inevitable’ shark attack, which leads to some very tense moments and numerous false builds ups reinforce this, leading to a nail biting ending. The disc offers the standard features play, scene selection, bonus [a trailer and making of] and subtitles [on/off]. With no nudity or swearing [that I can recall] it easily falls in the 15 age rating and is an obvious ***** family view.

I thought the reef stalked was ok but could have been better with the shark making more appearances and attacks but the suspense was good and the story was not bad.
